We are seeking an enthusiastic, growth-minded individual to be our Commercial Roofing Superintendent in our Kirkland, WA Office.

Highly experienced and highly motivated. The Commercial Roofing Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing field operations and all aspects of roofing construction on multiple projects, ensuring theyre completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and a strong background with multiple roofing systems on remedial and new construction projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ Years in Commercial Roofing Service
  • 7 or more years of experience working with roofing materials and systems
  • Superior knowledge of composition roofing and/or low slope installations
  • High level of roofing construction experience in multiple roofing systems on remedial and new construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of all commercial and residential roof systems and accessories
  • Proficient in technology including MS Office and basic computer software
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent


Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate with Project Managers in all aspects of projects including planning, execution, scheduling, budgeting, projections, resource allocation, pre/mid/final construction meetings, detail reviews, punch lists, and final warranty walks.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, manufacturer standards, and project specifications. Conduct regular inspections to verify quality standards and best practices are met. Immediately address issues and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project quality, safety, and momentum
  • Effectively allocate resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to meet project requirements, budgets, and deadlines. Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and proactively identify and address any delays or issues.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to roofing crews and subcontractors. Ensure they understand project requirements, details, and safety procedures. Monitor performance and provide feedback as needed to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Maintain effective and open communication with project team members including clients, project managers, superintendents, architects, engineers, tech reps, consultants, and foreman to resolve field issues.
  • Ensure Foreman are documenting progress, JHAs, toolbox talks, fall protection plans, time-entry and change orders. Maintain pics, files, and documents in FCS and Google Drive. Update task in Asana.
  • Proactively identify potential jobsite risks and develop mitigation plans and strategies to minimize disruptions or delays.
  • Proactively strategize ways to increase productivity, maintain job quality, schedule, and budget
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to roofing crews and subcontractors to enhance their skills and knowledge. Promote a culture of safety, pride, continuous improvement, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to supervise and direct the work of service technicians ensuring safety and quality
  • Proven leadership, trade knowledge and the ability to hire, manage, and lead teams
  • Ensures all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, manufacturer standards, and project specifications
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, pride of workmanship and continuous improvement
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Projects are completed on time, on budget and to customers satisfaction
  • Regularly communicate with team members regarding job status
  • Effective communication with corporate office, other contractors, project management, sales, and customers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
