Job description

Are you ready to elevate your roofing career to new heights? Tri-County Roofing & Gutters, a revered name in the Valparaiso, IN area and beyond, is inviting you to join our team as a full-time Roofing Repair Tech. From Lake to Porter and La Porte counties, we're seeking a true roofing pro to repair work orders sold by our sales representatives, which can include all types of roof repairs, siding, soffit or fascia repairs, skylight installation, and more!

With a competitive pay range of $25-$35 per hour, along with a generous 10% commission on additional work sold, the rewards of your expertise are waiting for you. This position comes with great benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance (employer contribution of 50%); life, AD&D, and short-term disability insurance; and 401K (up to 3% employer match).


WORK SCHEDULE

We prioritize work-life balance, with Monday through Friday as our main stage. Starting the day at 6:30 AM, you'll immerse yourself in the world of roofing, soaking in the satisfaction of each completed task. Occasionally, we work on Saturdays, but we keep those days few and far between to ensure you enjoy a solid equilibrium between work and life.

YOUR DAY

Picture yourself expertly navigating roofs of various slopes, meticulously executing repairs that range from siding and soffit to skylight installations. Your skilled eye doesn't miss a beat – while working on a job, you're always on the lookout for damaged wood, rotten flashings, or hidden treasures that need your attention. Snap photos to document your handiwork and collaborate seamlessly with our Production Coordinator throughout the day. But your story doesn't end there; you're the unsung hero on service calls, diagnosing issues and saving the day for previous customers facing leaks or other dilemmas.


WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A ROOFING REPAIR TECH:

  • 5+ years of roofing or siding repair experience
  • A valid Indiana driver's license
  • Ability to work on roofs at any slope, lift up to 70 lbs, and stand, squat, and bend, repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a pleasant manner
  • Ability to diagnose roof issues and pass all assessments satisfactorily
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed

A Roofing Master Craftsmen certification from CertainTeed would be a plus!
