What kind of inspectors make the most money?

Senior or specialized roofing inspectors, such as those with advanced certifications or extensive experience, tend to earn higher salaries. Inspectors working in high-demand areas, for large commercial projects, or with expertise in damage assessment and code compliance often make more money. Developing skills in report writing, safety protocols, and industry standards can also increase earning potential.

What are the typical daily responsibilities of a Roofing Inspector?

A Roofing Inspector’s daily responsibilities usually include conducting site visits to inspect new or existing roofs, documenting conditions through notes and photos, and preparing detailed reports for clients or regulatory agencies. They often communicate with property owners, roofing contractors, and insurance adjusters to discuss findings and ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards. Additionally, inspectors may use specialized tools or technology, such as drones or moisture meters, to evaluate hard-to-reach areas and uncover hidden issues. This proactive approach helps maintain roofing integrity and supports informed decision-making about repairs or replacements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Roofing Inspector position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Roofing Inspector, you need a strong background in construction or roofing practices, attention to detail, and relevant certifications such as OSHA or NRCA credentials. Familiarity with inspection software, digital photography, drones, and roofing diagnostic tools is often required. Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and customer service skills help in documenting findings and interacting with clients and contractors. These capabilities ensure thorough, accurate inspections and clear reporting to maintain safety and quality standards in roofing projects.

How to make $100k in roofing sales?

A roofing inspector aiming to make $100,000 in sales should focus on building strong client relationships, developing sales skills, and understanding insurance claims and roofing materials. Increasing sales volume, upselling services, and obtaining relevant certifications can also help boost income in roofing sales roles.

What is the 25% rule for roofing?

The 25% rule for roofing is a guideline used by roofing inspectors to determine if a roof needs replacement; it states that if more than 25% of the roof's surface is damaged or deteriorated, a full replacement is typically recommended instead of repairs. This helps ensure the roof's integrity and safety. Inspectors assess damage from factors like hail, wind, or aging to make informed decisions based on this rule.

What does it take to be a roof inspector?

A roofing inspector typically needs a good understanding of roofing systems, safety training, and the ability to identify damage and defects. Many employers prefer candidates with prior construction or roofing experience and may require certifications such as OSHA safety training or roofing-specific credentials. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills are also important for documenting findings and working with clients or contractors.

What does a Roofing Inspector do?

A Roofing Inspector evaluates the condition of roofs to identify damage, wear, and potential issues. They assess materials, structural integrity, and compliance with safety standards. Inspectors provide reports that outline necessary repairs or maintenance to ensure the roof remains durable and weather-resistant. They may work for insurance companies, real estate agencies, or roofing contractors.

Job description

About Us

We are North Creek Roofing, serving homeowners throughout the Puget Sound since 1996 with expert roof replacements, repairs, inspections, and gutter services. As a fully licensed, insured, and BBB‑accredited contractor, we offer premium warranty-backed work from direct‑hire professionals—not subcontractors. We offer a team-oriented environment with opportunities for career growth, and as we continue to expand, we seek reliable, safety-focused team members to support our operations!

Join us if you're passionate about delivering quality service and building a fulfilling career in a company that values trust, teamwork, and long‑lasting customer relationships.

The Role:

We're looking for a driven and dependable Scheduling Specialist to join our growing contact center team. This role will have a combination of inbound and outbound calls, chats, and emails from customers who have already expressed interest through our marketing channels—but it also includes a significant outbound component focused on follow-up, confirmations, and appointment setting.

This is not just a customer service role. While service and professionalism are critical, success in this role is measured by your ability to convert conversations into high-quality appointments. If you enjoy fast-paced call environments and are motivated by performance metrics and incentives, this role offers strong earning potential and growth opportunities.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, as well as chats and emails from warm leads
  • Convert inbound inquiries into scheduled appointments for roofing and other home services
  • Conduct proactive outbound dialing to follow up with leads, confirm appointments, and maximize conversion
  • Build rapport quickly with homeowners and clearly explain next steps and expectations
  • Ensure appointments are set with all decision-makers whenever possible
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in CRM (ServiceTitan) and phone system (Five9)
  • Meet or exceed individual performance metrics related to appointment setting, productivity, and confirmations
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and team leads in a structured, on-site call center environment
  • Participate in ongoing coaching and training as you ramp up in the role
    • First 30 days: Learn the business, systems, scripts, and gain confidence handling calls
    • By 60 days: Independently set quality appointments across service lines with reduced supervision

What You Bring:

  • Prior experience in a call center, customer service, inside sales, or appointment-setting role
  • Strong phone presence with the ability to influence, persuade, and guide conversations
  • Comfort handling high call volumes while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Ability to balance service mindset with performance-driven goals
  • Coachable, accountable, and motivated by metrics and incentives
  • Experience using CRM and phone systems (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable working on-site

Schedule:

  • Contact Center Hours:
    • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
    • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Role Specifics: Scheduling will be in advance
  • 40 hours per week with occasional overtime or coverage shifts as needed

Compensation: Competitive hourly base + uncapped commission

On Target Earnings: $45,000 - $55,000 +

Location: Fife, WA (On-site)

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week

FLSA: Non-exempt, hourly
