We're hiring a COMMERCIAL ROOFING EXPERT who can work independently between job sites and a home office.  The right candidate can perform roof inspections of various types - Quality Assurance on roof replacements or new construction, leak investigation, and evaluations for problem identification to determine repair or replacement.
Job Details 
  • Perform QUALITY ASSURANCE inspections, not to be confused with progress inspections, on new construction and re-roofing projects as needed. We represent the owner by making sure contractors adhere to the plans, specifications, industry standards, manufacturers' requirements, etc.
  • Perform in-depth evaluations on various roof types.
  • Perform maintenance inspections on various roof types. 
  • Write/Complete reports for each type of inspection.
Personal Qualifications
We're looking for a unique individual who is an independent worker that can learn to think like a Consultant, if their work history is with contractors and/or manufacturers. The qualities of this person are:

  • honest,
  • organized,
  • have a strong work ethic,
  • independent but a good team player,
  • have a desire to learn and grow.
Professional Qualifications
We're considered the experts in roofing situations with clients and contractors. The right candidate needs to:
  • Know how to install all types of roofing - low- and steep-sloped including modified, single ply, shingle, metal, etc.
  • Be able to find the source of a leak.
  • Be able to determine how long repairs should take to complete.
  • Know how to read roof plans with details and specifications.
Job Requirements
  • Be able to pass a drug test.
  • Be able to pass a government background check.
  • Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record (the occasional ticket is okay).
  • Have at least a little bit of computer skill (know how to use MS Word, know how to take photos on their cellphone). 
Physical Requirements:
This is a physical job. We work in the same conditions as contractors, even if not performing the same tasks. The right candidate must be able to:
  • Stand and/or walk for more than an hour at a time.
  • Tolerate the various weather extremes in Nashville, TN.
  • Lift and carry a Little Giant 22 ft. ladder numerous times a day when performing roof evaluations including, but not limited to moving the ladder in and out of a vehicle, move it from parking lot to location, occasionally through a building and up stairs.
  • Climb several flights of scaffolding and then stand for 1-2 hours.
  • Walk on all types of roof systems.
  • Bend, kneel, etc. easily and after doing any of the above.
