Job Summary:
BARBACK - (PT)
Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade in the heart of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, has redefined the destination entertainment experience. Following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as "one of the most incredible places on Earth," by Rolling Stone, we've stacked the deck for a truly unforgettable experience.
With three levels spanning nearly 80,000 square feet, it's one of the largest music venues in America. Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 32 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.
The Bar Back is responsible for bar service equipment/supply maintenance and set-up. Maintains the cleanliness of the bar and service area during the shift. Performs bartending functions under supervision as business requires.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Maintains cleanliness of all bars and appearance of work area to meet departmental standards.
  • Maintains bar and service ware during shift.
  • Provides assistance with all bartending services required for fulfilling customer requests.
  • Obtain bar stock, ice and service items from storage areas.
  • Replace beer kegs, soda tanks, CO2 tanks, wine-on-tap containers as required.
  • Clean the bar area continuously during the shift.
  • Remove used service items from the bar area as required.
  • Assist Bartender with bar set-up and break-down as required.
  • Cut (prepare) fruits and vegetables for cocktail garnishes.
  • Clean, stock and replenish all items located at the bar and in the beverage storage areas.
  • Must possess an in- depth knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails.
  • Working knowledge of POS system and processing cash and credit payments.
  • Communicate any problem or guest concern to management in a timely manner.
  • Side work as needed. Follow all Health Code and Alcohol Regulations.
  • Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.

NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Food Worker/Health Card required.
  • Valid Alcohol Awareness (TAM/AES) Card required.
  • Ability to work closely and efficiently with others.
  • Previous experience working in a high-volume restaurant, bar or entertainment venue preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess basic reading, writing and mathematical skills.
  • Completion of Bartending School and a valid POUR card preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must adhere to all safety measures and policies.

THE PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW ARE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION. THE ACTUAL EXERTION LEVEL (AND FREQUENCY OF USE) CAN AND DOES FLUCTUATE DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL TASKS BEING PERFORMED.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions repeatedly.
  • Ability to lift 45-70 pounds repeatedly.
  • Visual ability needed to accurately measure ingredients for mixing drinks.
  • Ability to move throughout the bar and back of house areas during the entire shift.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with loud music, crowds for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift.
