Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
ย ย ย ย Will use shop order to clock in and out on each job as it is run.ย 
ย ย ย ย Operate the roll machine by selecting the required settings depending on type and size of material and drawing requirements.
ย ย ย ย Operate manual welding equipment to fuse metal together to hold seams in place for long seam welding.ย 
ย ย ย ย May be required to operate flame cutting equipment torches or plasma cutter.ย 
ย ย ย ย Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
ย ย ย ย Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
ย ย ย ย Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
ย ย ย ย Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.ย 
ย ย ย ย Works in other departments on an as-needed basis.
ย ย ย ย Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. ย Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
ย ย ย ย Must have a basic understanding of computers.
ย ย ย ย Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.ย 
ย ย ย ย Must be able to read blue prints.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: ย 
ย ย ย ย High school diploma or GED with one year of trades training and at least one year of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
ย ย ย ย Ability to read and interpret documents such as bills of material, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. ย 
ย ย ย ย Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one with other employees of the organization.
ย ย ย ย Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
ย ย ย ย Ability to read & understand a tape measure.
ย ย ย ย Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions. ย 
ย ย ย ย Must possess good mechanical ability and the ability to perform basic calculations to operate welding and fabricating machines. ย 
ย ย ย ย Demonstrates ability to operate a welder, grinder, bandsaw, ironworker, overhead crane, torch, measuring devices and a variety of hand and power tools.
ย ย ย ย Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness. ย 
ย ย ย ย Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment.
