We're looking for a Plate Roll Operator who takes pride in precision and knows how to work steel the right way.

At Uni-Form Components Corp., our operators are hands-on, detail-focused, and play a key role in delivering quality products that meet strict code and customer requirements.
Position Summary
The Plate Roll Operator is responsible for forming steel plate to required specifications and preparing components for welding. This role works closely with production and welding teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate plate rolling equipment to form steel to required radius and specifications
• Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and specifications
• Verify product dimensions, angles, and tolerances throughout the process
• Adjust and correct radius as needed to meet specifications
• Grind surfaces and prepare bevel edges for welding
• Tack weld components in preparation for final welding
• Safely operate equipment including forklift, overhead crane, and plate roller
• Move materials and finished product within the work area
• Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support production schedules, including overtime and shift flexibility as neededQualifications
• Minimum 5 to 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in heavy fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Experience operating or willingness to be certified onforklift and overhead crane
• Basic math and measurement skills
