What is a ROI Coordinator?

A ROI (Release of Information) Coordinator is a professional responsible for managing the process of releasing medical records and other sensitive information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies. They review requests for information, verify the authorization, and ensure that only the appropriate information is shared with authorized parties. ROI Coordinators play a critical role in protecting patient privacy and maintaining compliance with regulations such as HIPAA.
