Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

Listen to the Partychief’s instructions,

carry stake bag 50lbs +/- and correct tools for the task at hand

Keep all equipment clean and organized, always be willing to give a helping hand even if its not surveying, equipment check after each task is complete and tools are put away.

The job duties of a rodman vary such as cleaning and preparing job site as needed.

Follow project instructions from Partychief or Superintendent,

Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt and dirt

Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.

Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.

Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman, or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.

Any Ad Hoc requests from Partycheif or Superintendent

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

Must be able to read and write legible

Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Experience in civil construction surveying as a rodman


Physical strength – be able to lift 50lb, not afraid of the woods or getting wet in a ditch or pond


Hand-eye coordination

Endurance


Ability to understand and communicate information


Ability to use necessary tools and machines
