Overview

This Food and Beverage Ascend Internship provides practical experience in concession operations within a fast-paced event setting. Interns will learn the basics of food and beverage service, assist in understanding cost of sales and inventory management, and observe how strong hospitality practices contribute to creating a positive and memorable fan experience.

Program Highlights: 

  • Career Readiness Workshops: Interactive sessions that equip interns with practical tools for professional success-communication, personal branding, interview prep, and workplace navigation.
  • Mentorship: Each intern is paired with an OVG leader who provides guidance, coaching, and real-world insight throughout the program.
  • Capstone Project: Interns collaborate on a team-based project tied to real challenges in sports and live entertainment, building strategic thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Capstone Showcase: The program culminates in a final presentation where interns share their work and key takeaways, celebrating their growth and contributions.

Internship Key Learnings:

  • Bring Creaitivity and Fun Guest Engagement.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $12.00 - $16.00

This is a seasonal role from May 1st, 2026 and will end on August 7th, 2026.

This position will remain open until June 19, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the stocking of all concourse portable locations.
  • Assist in stocking in all concessions stands.
  • Assist the Concessions Manager in getting the ballpark and concession stands ready for fans.
  • Assist the Concessions Manager in evaluating the operation of all equipment in the stands and ballpark.
  • Assist the Concessions Manager with the setting up for in season events.
  • Assist the Suite and Premium Supervisor with stocking, cleaning, and setting up all suites for fans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Must be enrolled full-time at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) or Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) at the time of the program start.

  • Valid Alcohol Service Permit.
  • Basic computer proficiency: E-mail, Excel, Word, Outlook, Schedule+.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven.
  • Detail oriented yet able to excel while multi-tasking.
  • Able to accept responsibility and lead by example.

Schedule

  • Will work 2 days a week on off weeks
  • Will work majority of home games
