The FNB Community Bank is locally owned in Bond, Fayette, and Marion Counties. Established in 1865, we currently have 7 locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. We have a Commercial Loan Officer position available for our Greenville location.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The FNB Community Bank is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of loan applications for businesses. The Commercial Loan Officer will work closely with customers to understand their financial needs and provide tailored loan solutions while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate, authorize, and recommend approval of loan applications for businesses
  • Conduct thorough credit analyses and risk assessments to determine the creditworthiness of applicants
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support throughout the loan process
  • Explain loan products, terms, and conditions to customers, ensuring they understand their options and obligations
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Credit Analysts and Loan Quality Control, to ensure accurate and efficient loan processing
  • Monitor and manage loan portfolios, ensuring timely payments and addressing any issues or delinquencies
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance loan offerings
  • Prepare and present reports on loan activities and performance to senior management
  • Lending approval limit of $125,000
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field or commensurate experience
  • 5-6 years of experience in loan processing, underwriting, or a related role preferred
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to loan administration
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.

COMPENSATION
