Job description


The Compliance Specialist II is responsible for assisting the Fraud/Risk Officer in developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program. This position acts as the backup of the Fraud/Risk Officer during the absence of the Fraud/Risk Officer. This position is responsible for various due diligence reviews and monitoring in the area of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC and Customer Identification Program compliance using industry standard regulatory guidance sampling methods to ensure the Bank's compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Exhibit the core values of the FNBโ€”Trust, Commitment, Excellent Customer Service and Professionalism
  • Assists and acts as backup to the Fraud/Risk Officer
  • Perform customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence on all new accounts and high-risk customers as needed.
  • Produce CTR's weekly for BSA Officer to review and then file CTR's within regulated time frame
  • Assist in researching customers/transactions/situations/etc. in regards to suspicious activity.
  • Assisting in annual reviews for Exempt customers
  • Review all new accounts for accuracy and BSA requirements
  • Enter information and validate information with our system
  • Monitor customers within reporting system.
  • Perform 314(a) list review against account holders, report any matches to BSA Officer
  • Produce and review daily and periodic reports
  • Function as secretary for compliance council and BSA committee
  • Performs research and investigates when needed
  • Represent the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with customers, potential customers and coworkers
  • Display a professional image through appearance and behavior
  • Review and comply with all state and federal regulations and FNB policies and procedures
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
