Job Type: Full Time

Up to $5,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months

Performs a variety of laboratory tests on blood, tissue and body fluids using both automated and manual methods. Ensures accurate, timely reporting of lab test results in order to assist medical staff in patient care. Serves as a technical resource and performs section supervisory functions. Interacts with a variety of persons such as nursing and medical staff, physician office staff, staff from other hospitals and clients, patients and family members, sales staff and repair representatives, etc. Represents the laboratory via telephone and fax communications to various clients, customers, etc.

Assists in the administration of the laboratory department at West Boca Medical Center and/or off site at West Boca Emergency Center. Coordinates a wide variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure efficient operation of all clinical laboratories.

Ensures the delivery of quality laboratory services which meets the standards of practice, established policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the art breast imaging center, womens and childrens services and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. Its two emergency centers, one at the main hospital and the other in Coconut Creek, are open 24-hours a day. Join our team!

Minimum:Bachelor degree, Medical Technologist License

Preferred: Experience and/or education should relate to any combination recognized by state of Florida for license as Clinical Lab Technologist. 3-5 years as Medical Technologist rotating in technical areas or section in an acute care hospital laboratory.

Must successfully pass a color blindness test prior to employment
