For more than 50 years, we have partnered with organizations worldwide to design, optimize, and transform their supply chains into strategic competitive advantages. Our consulting approach integrates deep operational expertise, advanced analytics, and innovative thinking to deliver measurable business impact.
About the role
As a Senior Consultant specializing in Simulation within our Engineering & Digital practice, you will lead the development and application of advanced simulation models to support the design, optimization, and implementation of intralogistics systems. You will work closely with clients across various industries to analyze complex warehouse and production logistics processes, evaluate automation scenarios, and deliver data-driven recommendations.
This role requires a combination of strong analytical capabilities, technical programming skills, and supply chain expertise. You will act as a bridge between engineering, IT, and business stakeholders, translating complex simulation outcomes into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution and Simulation Development
  • Develop, validate, and deploy discrete-event simulation models for intralogistics systems including warehouses, distribution centers, and production logistics environments
  • Analyze material flows, process interactions, and system performance to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
  • Evaluate automation concepts including ASRS, conveyors, AMRs/AGVs, and robotic systems through simulation scenarios
  • Integrate WMS/WCS data and logic into simulation models to reflect real operational behavior
  • Perform scenario analysis to support capacity planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements

Data Analysis and Solution Design
  • Process, structure, and analyze large datasets to support simulation inputs and outputs
  • Translate client requirements into simulation logic and technical model design
  • Develop innovative and tailored solutions leveraging internal tools, programming capabilities, and industry best practices
  • Support business case development with quantitative insights and performance comparisons

Project Management and Client Interaction
  • Work directly with clients to understand operational challenges, define simulation scope, and align on objectives
  • Present simulation results and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Manage workstreams, timelines, and deliverables within projects
  • Ensure clear communication between internal teams (engineering, digital, consulting) and client stakeholders

Knowledge Development and Team Contribution
  • Contribute to the development of simulation methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Mentor junior consultants and analysts on simulation techniques and intralogistics concepts
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies in warehouse automation, simulation software, and digital supply chain solutions

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4-8+ years of relevant experience in supply chain consulting, intralogistics, or simulation modeling
