Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies, covering functional, performance, stress, regression, and interoperability testing.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.).
  • Identify, analyze, and document software and hardware defects clearly and concisely in a bug tracking system.
  • Collaborate closely with development, system engineering, and product management teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure product quality.
  • Set up and maintain test environments, including configuring network equipment, base stations (eNB/gNB), user equipment (UE), and test tools.
  • Perform log analysis and debugging to identify root causes of issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in 4G/5G technologies and testing techniques.
  • Generate test reports and provide timely feedback on testing progress and results.
  • Participate in test strategy and test plan reviews.
  • Potentially contribute to the development of in-house test tools and utilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum [Specify Number, e.g., 3-5] years of experience in testing 4G LTE and/or 5G NR wireless technologies.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing automated test scripts and frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, Shell scripting).
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks like Robot Framework, Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.
  • Solid understanding of 3GPP specifications for LTE and NR (e.g., Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3 protocols, call processing, mobility management).
  • Experience with various testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Spirent, Keysight, Anritsu test equipment).
  • Familiarity with IP networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
