Job Summary:

As a Senior Test Automation Specialist, you will be a driving force for quality in your assigned product area, ensuring every deployment enhances customer trust and business value by architecting and implementing robust automated test suites and integrating quality into CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities:
• Own and plan QA activities for your assigned area, including developing the test strategy, creating test plans, and collaborating effectively with Development and Product Management teams.
• Integrate quality gates and tools into CI/CD pipelines to enforce standards and serve as a QA gatekeeper for release approvals, significantly reducing the risk of production failures.
• Develop comprehensive end-to-end UI and API test automation using Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) for the assigned product area, directly increasing the team’s automated test coverage metric.
• Take ownership of your area, proactively identify automation opportunities, and consistently perform exploratory testing on new features to catch defects early, thereby reducing customer-facing bug reports. Report bugs and verify fixes.
• Successfully utilize and provide tangible feedback on Copado AI agents and Robotic Explorer to improve test script reliability, maintenance, and generation, demonstrating measurable productivity gains through AI-assisted workflows.
• Mentor others on QA best practices (e.g., Robot Framework, CI/CD integration, exploratory testing) and effectively collaborate with team members through code reviews and knowledge sharing, raising the overall quality maturity of the team.
• Act as a Test Architect for complex test automation cases and can technically own some Product QA activities and lead a team of experts.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong experience (3-5 years) with Robot Framework and standard automation tools like Qweb, Selenium, and Appium.
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Jenkins, AWS, and GitLab.
• Strong Test Architecture Understanding to design, maintain, and scale the automation framework.
• Hands-on knowledge of Copado Robotic Testing (CRT) and Copado Explorer.
• Hands-on knowledge for using Copado AI agents and specific knowledge of AI prompting techniques.
• Technical knowledge of Python, XML, APIs, CLI, SQL, and log analysis for building robust, back-end test validation and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Requests and Postman.
• Proven ability to perform exploratory testing.
• Solid understanding of non-functional testing concepts.
• Competence in using JMeter.
• Prior Salesforce experience (highly desired) to understand the unique challenges of testing Metadata and complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies (ISTQB certification or equivalent).
• Possesses a strong quality mindset with a proactive approach to testing.
