Position Summary:

As an Activities Support Staff member, your role revolves around collaborating as part of a team to facilitate events of diverse sizes and purposes within the activities department. These events encompass a wide range, from concerts and dances to happy hours, trivia nights, luncheons, vendor shows, and more.

The Community Enhancement Staff are tasked with various responsibilities that enhance both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the community. Their efforts contribute to a robust brand identity, improve the overall experience for guests, and help distinguish the property.


Performance Objectives:

  • Setup and Breakdown: Put up seasonal and holiday displays for indoor and outdoor areas of the resort. Displays must be disassembled, inventoried, labeled, and stored appropriately after that season or holiday is over.

Holidays include Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and Memorial Day.

  • Trouble Shoot and Repair: Check the resort daily for breakage or display problems and get things working again.
  • Ensure timeliness: Coordinate with activities and management on the timeliness of work and the purchasing of materials.
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, such as lifting equipment and setting up venues. Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: Each holiday and season requires a different amount of work and hours. Must be willing to adjust as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick thinking and adaptability to handle unexpected situations or emergencies during events.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring that all setups meet required expectations and safety standards.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with management and other staff members to achieve common goals.
  • Drive a Golf Cart and Truck: The job requires a lot of driving throughout the park. The resort provides a small golf cart and use of the company truck for hauling materials.
