Project Engineer - Mission Critical

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

 

The Project Engineer plays a vital role in delivering missioncritical electrical projects, including data center construction, with precision and purpose. This position supports all engineering and technical disciplines throughout the project lifecycle-from concept through completion. 

With a strong commitment to craftsmanship and accuracy, the Project Engineer plans, schedules, forecasts, resources, and manages technical activities to ensure every detail meets the highest quality standards. Through ingenuity and collaboration, they contribute to innovative problemsolving and continuous improvement on complex electrical projects.

Project Planning & Ingenuity

  • Demonstrate craftsmanship and attention to detail by thoroughly analyzing and interpreting construction drawings to ensure a complete understanding of project requirements.
  • Assist in reviewing plans and specifications, developing detailed checklists that highlight contractual and technical items requiring ongoing attention-supporting integrity and accountability from the outset.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional project teams to contribute to cost estimates and schedules, applying ingenuity and analytical thinking to drive wellinformed project planning decisions.

Project Progress & Craftsmanship

  • Prepare clear, accurate statements of work, submittals, and change management documentation, promoting transparent communication and trust across project stakeholders.
  • Inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and completed construction with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and quality, ensuring full compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain precise and organized project records to track progress, changes, and compliance-reinforcing integrity, accuracy, and reliability in reporting.

Safety Leadership

  • Champion a safetyfirst culture, modeling behaviors that protect people, projects, and communities.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and best practices, reflecting our unwavering commitment to safety and care for others.
  • Monitor ongoing work to verify that materials, methods, and installations align with safety requirements and approved specifications.

  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Solid understanding of electrical construction in largescale commercial or missioncritical environments, including data centers.
  • Experience building productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to stay informed of industry and market trends.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety standards and best practices in electrical construction.

Education & Experience

  • Demonstrated handson experience supporting construction projects, with exposure to electrical systems in commercial or missioncritical environments such as data centers strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of relevant education, training, and applied project experience will be considered.
What You'll Get

Working Conditions: 

The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment.  Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range:
