What is road racing?

Road racing refers to a type of motorsport or cycling competition that takes place on paved roads, as opposed to off-road tracks or circuits. In motorsport, it typically involves cars or motorcycles racing over closed public roads or purpose-built courses that replicate road conditions. In cycling, road racing involves competitors racing over long distances on public roads, often in stages or single-day races. The sport demands high levels of skill, endurance, and strategy, and is popular worldwide with events like the Tour de France in cycling and the Isle of Man TT in motorcycle road racing.
