Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the Resident Services Director (Director of Nursing) in overseeing nursing services across our Shoreline communities
  • In collaboration with the Resident Services Director, directs, plans, and coordinates professional and auxiliary nursing staff in delivering resident care
  • Interprets policies and regulations for nursing personnel and ensures full compliance with applicable standards
  • Analyzes and evaluates nursing and related services to maintain and enhance quality of resident care
  • Partners with the Resident Services Director to provide oversight of residents’ healthcare needs, including the medication delivery system
  • Coordinates and supports in-service training for Resident Care Departments
  • Contributes to a team-based approach to quality resident care by supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Helps residents maintain the highest possible level of independence and quality of life

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut, with a minimum one-year experience in assisted living or home care
  • A passion for working with seniors is preferred
  • Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members.
  • In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
