Position Overview

Genesis Healthcare System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Cardiac Step-Down team. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled cardiac nurse with a strong background in Open Heart Recovery, Cardiac Telemetry, and Step-Down care. The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac step-down patients, including post-operative open-heart and cardiac catheterization recovery patients.

  • Monitor, assess, and manage patients receiving cardiac drips and advanced cardiac therapies.

  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.

  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols.

  • Accurately document patient care using the Epic electronic medical record system.
