Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair. Our Headquarters office in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a Procurement Administrative Assistant – RMA Specialist to work in-person at 421 South Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
Procurement Administrative Assistant – RMA Specialist

General Description:
The procurement assistant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative support duties for the Procurement Department. This includes maintaining compliant procurement files, maintaining new supplier files, data and certifications, material expediting, processing returns and data entry tasks as assigned.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Processing and completing Return Material Authorizations, updating internal trackers
  • Researching and vetting new vendors
  • Expediting open Purchase Orders, tracking deliveries and updating POs within ERP system
  • Maintaining compliant procurement files
  • Updating internal databases with inventory and/or order details
  • Facilitating communications between our customer base and our suppliers.
Work Experience Requirements:
  • Knowledge of procurement processes Policies and procedures
  • Strong emphasis on accuracy and detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects to meet goals and deadlines
  • Time management and organizational skills.
Educational Requirements (or equivalent):
1-3 years experience with procurement administrative duties.
Working Conditions:
This work is typically performed in an office environment. Requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
