• Lead and coordinate pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing liver and abdominal transplants, acting as the primary point of contact for both pre-transplant evaluations and cases involving readmissions.
• Conduct detailed patient evaluations, including thorough history-taking, physical assessments, and ordering necessary diagnostic procedures to inform clinical decisions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and manage treatment plans aligned with best practices in transplant medicine.
• Facilitate smooth transitions between inpatient and outpatient care by implementing effective discharge planning strategies.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings to enhance overall patient flow and care delivery.
• Address acute and chronic health concerns unique to transplant recipients and oversee comprehensive diagnostic studies, including routine lab tests.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols during patient admissions and discharges, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide educational resources to patients and families, enhancing their understanding of the transplant process.

The role focuses on a diverse population of patients who are facing liver disease and require transplant evaluation and care. This includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient settings, with cases that vary in complexity. As a Physician Assistant, you will engage with patients and their families, empowering them through education and support as they navigate their treatment options.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, ideally complemented by advanced qualifications in healthcare.
• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA state licensure, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and DEA registration are required.

While we welcome applicants from various backgrounds, preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in surgical settings, particularly those involved in transplant medicine. We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 160,000 to 200,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
