Position Overview

Riverbend Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to become an integral part of our dynamic healthcare team. This full-time remote position offers counselors the opportunity to provide essential telehealth services, helping clients navigate mental health challenges while enhancing their overall well-being.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, facilitating a flexible work setting that caters to work-life balance while ensuring quality care delivery via telehealth. Our counselors have access to advanced telehealth platforms that allow for seamless communication, secure client interactions, and efficient management of therapeutic services. Counselors will have the flexibility to manage their schedules, with core hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of the client.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, identifying key issues and necessary interventions.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that align with clients' goals and needs, and adapt them based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, drawing on established protocols to ensure client safety and stabilization.
  • Educate clients and their families on coping strategies, available resources, and techniques to enhance mental wellness.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record systems.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support for clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, reflecting a wide range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Counselors will engage with clients of all ages, tailoring approaches to effectively address the unique needs of each demographic. We place a strong emphasis on cultural competency, encouraging counselors to appreciate and respect the differences in our client population.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality of client information in all aspects of care.
  • An eagerness to continually learn, develop skills, and stay updated on best practices in the mental health field.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting, with a focus on telehealth services.
  • Experience working with populations that face socioeconomic challenges, trauma, or cultural diversity.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based practices.
Compensation and Benefits

Riverbend Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
