Job description

Why Weโ€™re Here

The mission of Community Action Lehigh Valley is to improve the quality of life in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas by building communities in which all people have access to economic opportunity, the ability to pursue that opportunity, and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

What Youโ€™ll Own

As Part Time Program Coordinator for Slate Belt Rising (Bangor, PA), youโ€™ll keep the program moving smoothly and make sure goals and deliverables land on timeโ€”so the Slate Belt community can build more opportunity and voice.
Key responsibilities include coordinating program activities and timelines, tracking progress toward deliverables, partnering with residents and local stakeholders to support civic engagement, and producing clear updates, reports, and communications.
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred (Business Administration, Public Administration, or related community development field)
- 2โ€“3 years of related experience; community/economic development and planning preferred
- Coordinator/management experience preferred; commitment to an empowerment model of service
- Strong organization, detail focus, and excellent written/oral communication
- Flexible, adaptable, creative problem-solver; proficient with Microsoft Office and computers
If youโ€™re ready to help Slate Belt Rising hit its goals with energy and care, apply today.

A Day in Bangor

Youโ€™ll start by checking your calendar (it may shift week to week), then touch base with partners and community members to keep conversations warm and plans on track. Midday might include drafting a crisp update, reviewing notes and metrics, and lining up next steps so nothing gets lost in the shuffle. Later, youโ€™ll switch gears between focused computer work and being out in the communityโ€”ending the day with a tidy to-do list and the satisfying feeling that Slate Belt Rising is moving forward.

10 observed holidays - 5 hrs each holiday, including a floating cultural holiday of your choice
