The Ride Maintenance Technician is responsible for all aspects of ride and park maintenance including preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and assurance of ride safety. This position will also assist in other areas such as park construction, landscaping, and ride operations as necessary for the smooth operation of the park.

Requirements:
  • Responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance for all park rides and attractions.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and special effects systems.
  • Testing, verification and/or calibration of ride systems.
  • Respond to downtime, repair, and ride recovery issues to keep the park operating smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot systems using technical manuals and appropriate company procedures.
  • Properly complete safety/inspection paperwork as required by Management.
  • Always practice safe work habits including, but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, safe lifting practices and reporting of unsafe situations.
  • Understand and inventory all tools and parts needed to maintain park rides and attractions.
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and guest areas clean and orderly.
  • Notify Supervisors and park Management of any safety issues within the park and on rides/attractions.
  • Monitors and maintains all lighting, plumbing, and HVAC systems for the park.
  • Monitors all fire and security systems for proper functioning.
  • Initiate friendly interaction with Guests when necessary.
  • Keep ride/attraction area clean.
  • Work varying hours and at different locations when needed.
  • Follow all safety standards to include reporting any violation of standards.
  • Assist operations to ensure ride operators are properly trained and following ride safety protocols.
  • Monitor snow machine and blow in snow lanes
  • Troubleshooting snow machine
  • Understanding protocols for snow blowing procedures and protocols
