Purpose Statement The Forklift Operator operates an assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in addition to following company and warehouse GMP's.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes:

  • Maintains defensive driving
  • Maintains trailer clean and free of contaminants and pest
  • Provides a communication link between customers and staff
  • Follow company food safety and security procedures for transporting raw and finished good products
  • Assists warehouse personnel with the loading and unloading of products and operates forklifts as needed
  • Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for customers and reads and interprets road signs in English
  • Keeps the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management
  • Assists in cycle counts and inventory

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Stand-Up Forklift Experience a plus
  • Work in Freezer Environment
  • Experience with RF Scanning
