RGC stands for Retinal Ganglion Cells. These are a type of neuron located in the retina of the eye, responsible for transmitting visual information from photoreceptors to the brain via the optic nerve. Damage to RGCs is associated with various eye diseases, such as glaucoma and optic neuropathies.

Proficiency with genetic testing technologies, pedigree analysis software, and electronic health record (EHR) systems is typically required. What are some typical challenges faced by RGC (Registered General Counsel) professionals when balancing legal compliance with business objectives?

RGC professionals often navigate the complex interplay between ensuring legal compliance and supporting business goals. A common challenge is providing guidance that protects the organization from legal risks while also enabling strategic growth and innovation. This requires staying updated on regulatory changes, communicating effectively with non-legal teams, and sometimes making tough decisions under tight deadlines.
