Applications Engineer - RF GaN Biasing and Power ICs
Location: Dallas, TX | Team: Analog Power / RF Front-End
About the Role
Qorvo is seeking an Applications Engineer to support our next-generation RF GaN and GaAs biasing ICs used in radar, SATCOM, and high-performance communication systems. In this role, you will help customers integrate our bias controller products into their designs and develop evaluation platforms that demonstrate device performance and key features. Qorvo's products include both biasing and power supply solutions.
Responsibilities
  • Design evaluation boards for GaN/GaAs bias controllers and power solutions
  • Own and drive creation of technical documentation such as datasheets, evaluation results, customer presentations, and other technical collateral.
  • Collaborate closely with design, validation, and product line teams to influence future product development
  • Support system-level applications including gate/drain sequencing, pulsed bias control, and telemetry
  • Work directly with customers and field teams to provide design-in and debug support

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • 5-10 years of experience in analog, mixed-signal IC, and power supply applications and design
  • Hands-on experience with GaN or GaAs biasing, RF power amplifier systems, and power management circuits
  • Strong lab skills for testing, characterizing, and debugging analog circuits
  • Familiarity with I²C/SPI interfaces, Python test automation, and PCB design tools
  • Soldering and PCB rework skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
