Job description

OmniProphis is an engineering and construction firm looking for a Lead Field Technician to assist with the development, deployment, optimization and maintenance of several DAS installations nationwide. This position is based throughout Mississippi.


Technical Skills/Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years construction management experience with distributed antenna systems (DAS) required
  • Project management and installation experience with SOLiD, JMA and/or CommScope
  • Proficiency with some or all of the following: Anritsu Spectrum Analyzer, PRISM, PCTel tools, Signal Generators
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to pass security clearance
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel as-needed
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Project and Viso
  • Disciplined to work independently, effectively in field settings and utilize remote support
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to listen carefully, ask questions and communicate clearly
  • Ability to hold oneself accountable and be transparent with management and team members
  • Ability to interface with the client and provide exceptional customer service


Responsibilities:

  • Manage/assist teams across multiple installations
  • Manage/oversee subcontractors on new construction and system upgrades
  • Commission and integrate DAS deployments
  • Install and integrate telecommunication signals
  • Supervise, manage, and assist team members and subcontractors with the installation and testing of power, ground, RF coaxial, and fiber cables with strict adherence to install standards
  • Coordinate site surveys, bleed and benchmark testing
  • Manage acceptance testing and troubleshooting of completed systems
  • Develop and provide closeout documentation
  • Provide daily updates and status reports
  • Interface with client
