Job description

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges. JOB SUMMARY - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES The Electronic Technician typically performs their duties within an electronics lab, but occasionally operate in the field. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Operate radars and other electronic equipment on a daily basis. Read and interpret schematics and RF signal flow and wiring diagrams. Maintain, sustain, and troubleshoot and repair analog and digital equipment used in radar transmitters, receivers, timing assemblies, data collection, and RF and digital transmission lines. Construct electronic and RF chassis using industry standard fabrication for techniques for wiring and packaging. Additional responsibilities as assigned. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in Maximo. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE This position can be filled with a candidate meeting the requirements for either an Electronic Technician II or Electronic Technician III. Candidates of all skill and experience levels will be considered for this position. Electronic Technician II Requirements Education and/or training from an accredited college or technical school with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory, or a military equivalent and 3 years of hands-on experience are required for this position. In addition, an Electronic Technician II must possess the following qualifications: International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification Demonstrated proficiency in general electronics Good understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems Good understanding of test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power radio frequency (RF) devices Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to the component level and competency in soldering Electronic Technician III Requirements An associate's degree or higher from an accredited college; or technical schooling with courses in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory; or a military equivalent and a minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience are required for this position. In addition, an Electronic Technician III must possess the following qualifications: International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics Demonstrated expertise in electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems and the test equipment used to maintain and repair equipment Experience with tubes, transistors, logic gates, and/or high-power radio frequency (RF) devices Expert-level troubleshooting and soldering capabilities SALARY Electronic Technician II: The expected pay range for this position is $34.86/hour to $39.22/hour. Electronic Technician III: The expected pay range for this position is $36.59/hour to $41.16/hour. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4 considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market/business considerations when extending an offer. WORKING CONDITIONS Employee will be required to work some shift work, at remote locations, and occasional over-night assignments. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Outdoor duties may be performed on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry or wet. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Outdoor duties may be performed on gravel or shingled roof. Climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance) are required. A government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis.
