Production Associate

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Associate supports key areas of the production process including material handling, quality control, sewing assistance, and order fulfillment. This role is responsible for identifying defects, reworking rugs, operating digital equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Production Associate plays a hands-on role in building, packing, and organizing rug systems while supporting both the sewing and fulfillment teams to ensure daily productivity goals are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Support: Assist production and fulfillment teams as needed to ensure efficiency and meet daily productivity goals.
Sewing Support: Distribute rugs to sewers, assist with sewing tasks, tack and finish rugs, and trim or burn excess thread.
Quality Inspection & Rework: Identify print defects, rework rugs with minor flaws, and sort defective rugs according to quality standards.
Material Handling & Organization: Organize rugs and components for fulfillment; assist operators with rug organization and move rugs to designated cart.
Order Processing: Verify components, build and roll rugs, conduct quality checks, and pack rug systems for ecommerce shipments.
Workplace Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a tidy, safe environment by keeping rugs and tools clean and properly stored.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of the position.
Must be 18+ years old to work
Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
Ability to use repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
Must be able to individually lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. Team lift procedures will be used for items exceeding this weight.
Ability to perform repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
Ability to bend and kneel frequently
Normal dexterity required

DESIRED SKILLS:
High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
1 year of experience in a similar manufacturing setting (preferred).
Strong attention to detail with an innovative and thoughtful approach.
