Retention Representatives are professionals who work to keep existing customers or clients satisfied and prevent them from leaving a company or service. They typically handle customer concerns, address issues, and offer solutions or incentives to encourage loyalty. Retention Representatives often work in industries like telecommunications, insurance, and subscription services.

At EchoStar's Chandler hub, you are joining a Fortune 250 leader built on grit, innovation, and direct reward for effort. You won't make a single cold call. Every interaction is an inbound customer looking for a reason to stay or go. If you have the empathy to defuse a tense situation and the tenacity to re-sell our value, you will thrive here. Add in a structured career progression where you have the opportunity to earn up to two promotions in your first year, and you have a clear path to build a long-term career.

This role is on-site at 350 N McClintock Dr, Chandler, AZ. 85266

Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Do
  • De-escalate & Re-engage: Handle back-to-back inbound calls from customers looking to disconnect services. Defuse escalated emotions using active listening and patience.

  • Protect the Business with Pride: Represent the EchoStar brand with integrity, turning negative customer cycles into long-term customer loyalty.
What You Bring
  • Tenacity and Thick Skin: You do not take "no" as a final answer. You have the grit to present multiple tailored offers even when the customer starts out closed off.
  • Active Listening & Persuasion: You can read between the lines during a high-stress conversation, pull out the customer's true pain point, and reframe our services to solve it.
  • Strong Money Motivation: You are driven by the direct link between saving a customer and earning uncapped commission on top of your hourly base.
  • Reliability & Foundation: You possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and are willing to work a full-time schedule, which often includes evening shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage.
  • No Experience Necessary: Call center or retention experience is a major asset, but not required. We teach you the exact de-escalation and negotiation frameworks you need during training. Training time is compensated at your regular base pay rate.
