The Retainer Specialist role will be responsible for the tracking and collection of client retainers. The position prepares and maintains financial records to track the organizationโs retainers and ensures timely accountability of the process.ย

Essentialย Jobย Functions:
- Performย basicย accountingย processesย andย reviewย accountย activity
- Reconciliationย ofย client-matters
- Manage and Monitor Trust account activity including issuing settlement checks, refund trust, unapplied cash, and retainers
- Prepareย regularย andย adย hocย monthlyย reports
- Stayย upย toย dateย onย ARย processes
- Communicates updates on retainers to the Client Funds Manager, attorneys, and clients
- Servesย asย theย pointย personย forย retainers
- Assistย withย specialย projectsย andย additionalย dutiesย asย assigned.
Education,ย Experience,ย andย Skills:
- Bachelorsโย Degreeย preferredย (Business,ย Accounting,ย orย Finance)
- Experienceย withย Microsoftย Officeย Suite,ย specificallyย Excel,ย Wordย &ย Outlook.ย OneDrive,ย Teamsย &ย SharePointย areย highlyย desirable
- Law Firm experience a plus, working knowledge of the legal collections processes preferred
