Company Overview
General Summary:
The Store Operations Sr. Manager of Financial Operations is responsible for managing the store operations sales planning, sales exceptions, and operating statements (P&L) programs. It is a high visibility role requiring strong financial acumen and the ability to leverage historical data and predictive analysis.
Job Details
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate, equitable store-level sales plans accounting for historical exception events and future business impacts.
  • Manage the quarterly sales plan exception process to appropriately adjust sales plans for uncontrollable events.
  • Create store operations operating statements (P&Ls) to precisely measure store-level profitability and financial results.
  • Create the annual budget for retail incentive and accurately manage the financial forecast.
  • Manage and present projects related to store ops financial operations.
  • Research inquiries from field leaders and provide prompt, informative responses.
  • Provide leadership support, coaching and development to WFM analysts.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
  • Strong financial acumen including knowledge of GAAPs and financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Expertise in MS Access, PowerBI, 1010data, PowerQuery, APT, and Windows automation techniques such as VBS and macros. Experience using enterprise financial software such as Oracle, Anaplan, SAP, or Lawson.
  • Experience creating sales plans and P&Ls in a retail environment is a significant plus.
  • Experience with employee incentive compensation programs in a retail environment is a significant plus.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and communication.
  • Comfortable training and presenting to field leadership.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, preferably at a large chain of small format stores.

Qualifications
Work Experience &/or Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related field required, MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sr. financial analyst or financial manager role managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Retail operations management a plus.
