Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Public Relations Lead who is passionate about the ever-evolving media and communications landscape and eager to help shape and protect an iconic brand's reputation. This role will support the development and execution of our overarching public relations strategy, driving elevated brand awareness and meaningful engagement across traditional, digital, and emerging media channels.
Reporting to the Senior Director of PR, this individual will serve as a key liaison to our public relations agency partners while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with local and national media. Success in this role requires an understanding that the most impactful stories are not simply pitched, they are earned through authentic relationships, strategic storytelling, and a deep understanding of what resonates in today's rapidly changing media environment.
As part of the PR team, this leader will identify and develop compelling press opportunities that leverage the brand, founder, and leadership narratives; continually seek innovative ways to amplify brand visibility; and partner closely with the Influencer Marketing team to create impactful influencer and celebrity engagement strategies. They will also play an important role as a steward of the brand's reputation, recognizing the growing importance of communications in building trust, credibility, and long-term brand equity.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Director of Public Relations in developing and executing PR strategies for Kendra Scott and Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott.
  • Lead the Texas PR strategy, serving as a brand ambassador and cultivating relationships with key regional and local media, tastemakers and community partners.
  • Manage the Kendra Scott and Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott Stylist Program, including relationship management, outreach, and execution of monthly product kits.
  • Oversee the AGO SEO Seasonal Style Guide in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate and manage product samples for media placements, partnerships, and celebrity dressing opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for leadership media opportunities and award submissions, including media briefing development, data collection, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Manage brand press opportunities for Kendra Scott and Yellow Rose by Kendra Scott, ensuring seamless execution and alignment across internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Regional Marketing teams to support local PR initiatives, develop targeted pitches, and ensure regional efforts align with overarching brand objectives.
  • Develop PR materials including press releases, media pitches, leadership briefing documents, and campaign recaps.
  • Support the planning and execution of brand events, including media previews, collection launches, and brand activations.
  • Manage and respond to incoming media inquiries in a timely and strategic manner.
  • Track, analyze, and report on PR performance metrics, media coverage, and campaign results.

Key Qualities for Success
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of PR experience with proven success in fashion PR and talent relationship management
  • Strong pulse on what is happening in the world of retail, fashion, and entertainment with existing relationships.
  • Strong pulse on cultural moments and how to define brand relevance
  • Strong media relations skills with proven program results in print, broadcast and online outlets
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills
  • Ability to recommend and initiate projects with minimal direction
  • Passion for the brand and its core values: Family, Fashion, Philanthropy
  • Work experience of multi-person/ cross-departmental team
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
