REPORTS TO: Retail Manager
LOCATION: Retail Warehouse, Canyon Fever Retail Outlets
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Year-Round/ Hourly
POSITION:
Are you experienced in the retail industry and looking for a beautiful workplace? Solitude is on the search for a Warehouse Lead to help oversee retail warehouse operations. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for organizing and maintaining the warehouse, receiving product, and working with buyers for any reports or input they request. We are looking for someone who wants to grow their career in retail as well as enjoy the amazing perks and benefits of working at Solitude Mountain Resort.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1 year of retail and retail POS experience required, preferably within outdoor industry.
  • Basic accounting experience of analyzing, summarizing, and reporting transactions required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong attention to detail while receiving and transferring products
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate with guests, staff, management, and shared services verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to stay on track and manage a large workload during pre-season, holiday periods, and busy times
  • Ability to work with the shared services team with topics such as ordering, inventory, receiving, and the POS system.
  • Possess a working knowledge of products and trends within our retail outlets and within the industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
  • Must be able to work in a high volume, fast-paced retail environment.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and utilize problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of squatting, bending, stooping, standing for long periods of time, working in varying weather conditions, and lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervises the warehouse, keeping it organized and in line with safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining and administering operational and administrative expectations by following company policies and guidelines.
  • Maintain and model high retail, merchandising and cleanliness standards as set forth by the Retail Manager and VP Recreational Services
  • Assist Retail Manager to ensure sales are generated while demonstrating and maintaining an enthusiastic and professional standard of guest service.
  • Manage inventory control by receiving orders in a timely manner and by restocking stores to meet or exceed goals.
  • Enforce company cash handling and other Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Remain current on new industry products and trends; demonstrate knowledge of products.
  • Communicate ideas and issues with Retail Manager to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Fulfill manager-on-duty responsibilities by interacting with retail staff regularly.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new employees in MI9 and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate and ensure staff always follow safety standards, company values and ethics, and provide the highest level of guest service, with an emphasis on courteous and knowledgeable assistance.
  • Motivate and encourage employees to increase sales, units per transaction and transaction size in day-to-day sales.
  • Other duties as assigned.
