Job Summary

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing retail fixtures, store project execution, and retail operations to deliver a consistent, high-quality in-store experience aligned with the company's premium brand standards. The position manages the end-to-end lifecycle of retail fixture development - from production and vendor management through inventory planning and deployment - while ensuring strong partnerships with Procurement, Supply Chain, and external vendors.

The role leads the operational processes that support store projects, including new store openings, remodels, and brand initiatives and oversees all third-party vendors involved in production, logistics and installation. They will also manage key retail operations programs that support day-to-day store performance, including tint equipment programs, retailer incentive buys, and other initiatives that enhance retailer efficiency and experience.

In addition, this role is accountable for optimizing processes, improving operational workflows, and managing departmental budgets and documentation. Success requires strong project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and skilled at managing multiple priorities, delivering results through both internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Retail Fixtures

    Lead the development and production of retail fixture and display elements.
  • Oversee the selection and ongoing management of third-party vendors and manufacturers in partnership with Procurement.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage fixture inventory levels, forecasting needs to support store projects and ongoing operations.

Store Project Execution

  • Manage third-party vendor partner responsible for store fixture shipments, installations and warehousing. Ensure that processes and execution meet or exceed Benjamin Moore's premium value proposition.
  • Lead strategic planning and oversee execution of store project processes and store projects including (but not limited to): Ace Store Program, New Store Paint and Decorating, New Store Hardware, Color Fixture installs, Renovation and Relocation, Maintenance and all other brand initiatives.
  • Direct, develop, and manage the Retail Installed Services Administrator.

Retail Operations Programs

  • Lead and manage key retail operations programs that enhance daily store functionality and retailer experience.
  • Oversee the tint equipment program, including
  • Manage retailer product incentive programs, partnering with Sales, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Product Marketing to ensure effective execution, inventory alignment, and retailer adoption.
  • Develop and support additional retail programs aimed at improving store operations, efficiency, and overall execution of the Benjamin Moore value proposition at retail.

Process, Operations + Budget Management

  • Develop and maintain operational workflows and processes. Identify opportunities to increase process efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Proactively seek input from key stakeholders, including field sales and retailers. Use key learnings to drive improvement and enhance end user experiences.
  • Manage departmental budget. Oversee all budget-related activities ensuring accurate PO management, timely invoice processing, and adherence to company financial controls. Analyze budget performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions to optimize spending.
  • Demonstrate financial stewardship by balancing business needs with budget constraints, identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing trade-offs, and ensuring investments deliver meaningful business value.
  • Partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to develop business cases, evaluate investment decisions, and ensure alignment between operational priorities and financial objectives
  • Oversee documentation, including production specs, installation/reference guides, sell sheets and order forms, and inventory records.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent business experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in retail store environment, retail operations, merchandising, store planning, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of store planning, retail operations, and project management, with experience executing both physical store initiatives and operational programs.
  • Experience in managing direct reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with adherence to deadlines; flexible to shifting priorities.
  • Experience managing external vendors and internal cross-functional partnerships to drive execution and continuous improvement.
  • Highly organized, proactive and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proactive in sharing updates and aligning stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet); familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
