Job description

Need Something New?

If you are tired of being stuck in a dead-end job and have always wanted a managerial position that travels, Advanced Inventory Solutions (AIS) has you covered!

As an employee at AIS, you will work in different grocery stores, gas stations, and retail stores within a large service area. Our inventory specialists are critical in helping underserved regional clients. Think of your local grocery store rather than large chains such as Walmart or Target.

The Job

A difference in scenery makes the inventory team leader position unique. Not only do we work with a variety of customers each week, but we travel to different cities too. Our teams utilize handheld scanning equipment to complete an inventory count, so our customers have an accurate and updated report detailing their current inventory. You do not need to be a math whiz or a product expert to be an inventory specialist at AIS.

The team lead will perform many managerial tasks such as driving our specialists to customer sites in our company vans, overseeing audits and working with store managers, submitting reports to the corporate office, and orientation and training of new employees. Monitoring the teams for accuracy, professionalism, and conformance to AIS's policies are crucial responsibilities of the team lead.

The Culture

The people who shop at our customers' stores come from a variety of backgrounds. We believe our team members should as well. Our specialists consist of those who have struggled to fit in at other jobs and want that second chance to prove themselves.

Our team leaders strive to create a work environment with no micromanagement; a place where you can independently develop your skills and will not have someone always looking over your shoulder.

AIS is NOT Looking for People Who ...

  • NEED to be micromanaged
  • DON'T want to be a part of a team
  • CAN'T do early mornings

  • Able to get up consistently for early morning starts (start times between 3-6 AM)
  • Demonstrated competence in computer usage and functions
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to AIS's policy
  • Must be able to travel out of town and stay overnight in hotels
  • Maintain confidentiality necessary to perform the job
  • Able to professionally interact with clients, management of all levels, employees within the organization, as well as individuals of diverse backgrounds

What Comes with Working at AIS?

  • Starting salary of $33,000-37,000 per year
  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Life Insurance policy starting at $25,000
  • Short-term Disability Coverage
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • 401(k) Match Program with up to a 4% match
  • Quarterly Bonus Program based on profit sharing
  • Uniform shirts - no need to worry about what you are going to wear to work!
  • Employer paid accommodations with a $30 per night non-taxable per diem for overnight travel
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
