Job description

Summary
The Home Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in delivering products to designated locations. To excel in this position, the driver needs to prioritize efficiency, effectiveness, and safety throughout the delivery process. Additionally, the driver should consistently provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating quality workmanship and clear, professional communication. By adhering to these standards, the Home Delivery Driver can ensure a positive experience for both the customer and the company.
Primary Job Functions
This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.
  • Handle products safely.
  • Conduct physical inspection of product to identify damages goods, perform touch- up and repair as needed on product.
  • Place products in designated storage areas safely.
  • Prepare and load customer delivery trucks.
  • Unload and safely place products in customer home.
  • Understand and comply with all store policies and procedures.
  • Remove all the packaging materials from the location.
  • Communication and documents customer concerns to Warehouse Support.
  • Communicates credit, damage and essential information to the Customer Service Department.
  • May be required to complete shipping/ receiving paperwork
  • May be required to complete Department of Transportation paperwork.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse area.
  • Maintain a professional image.
  • Assist driver as needed with vehicle inspection, routine maintenance and fueling of vehicle at approved locations.
  • Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.
  • Maintains reliable attendance.

Job Qualifications
Education:
  • High School, Diploma or equivalent

Experience:
  • Clean Driving record - 3 years
  • NO CDL needed
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Department of Transportation physical examination
  • 1 year driving experience
  • Driving certification class, including a road evaluation test

Licenses or Certifications
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
