Overview:

The Sr. Manager, Retail Development, Global Products & Experiences is in charge of executing retail strategies that drive sell-in of licensed merchandise across key retail partners. This role manages day-to-day relationships with retailers and licensees, ensures robust in-store execution, and supports the growth of the brands through compelling consumer product offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with retail partners, especially Walmart

    • Work with licensees to boost sales of licensed products

    • Focus on important categories such as Toys, Sporting Goods, Home, Accessories, Food & Beverage, and Essentials & Beauty

  • Execute retail strategies across category responsibilities

  • Monitor retail performance and identify opportunities to increase sales and distribution 

  • Partner with licensing category teams to support product launches and retail activations in partnership with licensees 

  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all licensed products and retail placements 

  • Conduct store visits and retail audits to ensure merchandising standards are met and identify new opportunities

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity 

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, category, franchise) to support campaigns 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of experience in retail, licensing, consumer products, or business development

  • Robust written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work autonomously with solid organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-up

  • Deep knowledge of retail environments and merchandising strategies

  • Exemplary relationship management and communication skills

  • Analytical mindset with experience using sales data to drive decisions

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with licensed brands or retail partnerships preferred 

  • Working knowledge of entertainment, categories and/or retail industry a plus
