Senior Analyst, Retail Pricing & Analytics

Location: Orlando, FL preferred, remote considered
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate:ย $75/hr - $80/hr DOE

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Retail Pricing & Analytics to support strategic pricing and retail performance initiatives across both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar environments. This role will focus on pricing strategy, retail analytics, dashboard development, and business intelligence to help drive revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational decision-making.ย 


The ideal candidate is analytical, business-minded, and comfortable translating complex retail data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Planning, Finance, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze pricing performance, promotional effectiveness, markdown impact, and margin trends to identify opportunities for revenue optimization
  • Conduct retail performance analysis related to customer behavior, product lifecycle, inventory movement, and merchandising trends
  • Partner with business stakeholders to support pricing recommendations and evaluate business impact
  • Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reporting tools to support pricing and retail KPIs
  • Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform large datasets from cloud-based data environments
  • Support scalable reporting and analytics workflows that improve business visibility and decision-making
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions and recommendations
  • Assist with exploratory analysis and advanced modeling initiatives related to retail performance and

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in retail analytics, pricing analysis, merchandising analytics, or business intelligence
  • Strong understanding of retail pricing concepts including promotions, markdowns, margin drivers, and pricing strategy
  • Experience supporting retail operations across physical stores and/or e-commerce platforms
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with experience working with large datasets
  • Strong Tableau or similar dashboarding and data visualization experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python for data analysis and reporting automation
  • Exposure to cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift
  • Experience working in retail, consumer products, merchandising, or pricing-focused environments
  • Advanced degree in Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline
