POSITION SUMMARY:

The Custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the Resurrection Christian School campus. Work for an amazing school that truly values family and faith. ABOUT RCS:

Resurrection Christian School is a private, non-denominational Christian college-preparatory school located in Loveland, Colorado. Founded in 1998 by Rez.Church, Resurrection Christian School serves students from Pre-K through 12th grade. RCS is the largest Christian school in Northern Colorado, serving nearly 900 families from 19 communities over a 25-mile radius. School enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is approximately 1,350 students. RCS is fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI); AdvancED.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vacuum classrooms, offices, halls and doormats.

Sweep and mop rooms, stairs and halls.

Clean and sanitize all bathroom and locker room sinks, toilets, urinals, floors, mirrors, paper towel holders and stall walls.

Stock all paper products in bathrooms and locker rooms.

Clean and sanitize desktops, countertops, tabletops and classroom sinks.

Clean windows, walls, light fixtures and furniture extensively.

Clean and sanitize lockers.

Dust furniture, computers, televisions and windowsills.

Maintain cleaning equipment.

Replace light bulbs, paint and other minor maintenance needs.

Move furniture or equipment as needed

Strip, wax, and buff floors.

Shampoo carpet extensively.

Remove snow from entryway and apply ice melt on steps or entryway.

Help set up and clean up after activities.

Empty trashcans, pencil sharpeners and clean white boards.

Secure building.

Other duties as assigned.


SKILLS:

Skilled at oral and written communication.

Skilled at basic math.

Ability to follow directions and operate cleaning equipment.


KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of cleaning methods.

Knowledge of cleaning equipment, such as buffers, shampooer, vacuums and auto scrubber.


ABILITIES:

Able to operate a variety of equipment necessary for building cleanliness.

Able to manage multiple priorities and multi-task with frequent interruptions.

Able to work in a team environment and works effectively with other departments to accomplish goals.

Able to work independently with little or no supervision.


SAFETY TO SELF AND OTHERS:

Must familiarize yourself with the safety rules of your job and participate in all safety training provided by your department.

Must wear personal protective equipment whenever required.

Ask for assistance if the job requires more than one person.

Report any unsafe working conditions or safety problems to your supervisor. Secure the unsafe area with cones, fencing, floor signs, etc. so that others are not injured.

Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work place and insuring that safety precautions and practices are followed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$18 per hour

All employees working 30 or more hours per work week are considered full-time and eligible to receive the benefits listed in the Benefits section. Benefits are available the first day of the month following the hire date.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent, one year of experience related to building maintenance and security function is required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.


Must have excellent planning skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and able to adapt to changing environments and priorities. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work productively and meet benchmarks and goals in a timely fashion. Strong interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills are required.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The Custodian must be able to work indoor and outdoor environment, some exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, steam, as well as controlled and hazardous substances. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to climb ladders; stoop, kneel, bend, reach and pick up or move objects weighing up to 55 pounds; and possess normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
