Description

About the Role

Momentous Concepts is a Central Texas hospitality group with restaurant, music venue, retail, real estate, and community operations throughout the New Braunfels, Gruene, and San Antonio areas.

We are seeking a hands-on Restaurant Technology Manager to oversee and support the technology our teams rely on every day. This is a field-focused role for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with restaurant operators, and making technology easier and more reliable for the people using it.

The Restaurant Technology Manager will support in-store hardware, restaurant applications, user access, vendor relationships, and technology projects across our properties. You'll work closely with General Managers, Operations, Finance, and other departments to troubleshoot issues, maintain systems, and support technology initiatives across the organization.

This position will be based out of our home office in New Braunfels, Texas. Regular travel to our restaurant and company locations in San Antonio is required, in addition to supporting properties throughout New Braunfels and Gruene. This is an on-site, field-based position and is not a remote role.

Our managed services provider supports cloud infrastructure, security monitoring, Microsoft 365, backups, and higher-level remote support. This role serves as the internal owner of restaurant-facing technology and coordinates with our provider and other technology vendors when escalation is needed.

What You'll Do
Restaurant Technology & Systems
  • Support and maintain in-store technology, including POS terminals, kitchen display systems, printers, handhelds, tablets, kiosks, and related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues, replace or deploy equipment, and coordinate vendor support when needed.
  • Oversee property-level network equipment and connectivity, including switches, access points, ISP circuits, and service-provider escalations.
  • Maintain technology asset inventory, device management, warranty information, and replacement planning.
POS & Business Applications
  • Serve as the primary administrator for restaurant and retail applications, including Toast, Lightspeed, Restaurant365, and other operational platforms.
  • Manage Toast configurations, including menus, pricing, permissions, service charges, KDS routing, and online ordering.
  • Monitor key system integrations between POS, accounting, payroll, and other platforms and coordinate resolution when issues occur.
  • Partner with Culinary, Marketing, Accounting, and Operations to maintain accurate menu, item, gift card, loyalty, and system data.
User Access & Support
  • Manage system access, user accounts, and permissions across company technology platforms, including timely removal of access for terminated employees.
  • Provide first-line technology support to restaurant and venue operators and escalate higher-level issues to our managed services provider or appropriate vendor.
  • Create practical documentation and coach managers on common technology issues so routine problems can be resolved quickly and effectively.
Vendor & Cost Management
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and the company's managed services provider, including service quality, escalations, renewals, and performance reviews.
  • Review technology invoices, software licenses, and vendor agreements for accuracy and identify opportunities to control costs.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of technology vendors, software, licenses, renewal dates, and annual costs.
  • Partner with Finance on annual technology operating and capital budgeting.
Projects & New Openings
  • Lead technology planning and coordination for new locations, remodels, system conversions, and major events.
  • Coordinate equipment specifications, vendors, installation schedules, testing, and go-live support.
  • Provide technology support during critical operational periods, major events, and occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting technology within restaurant, retail, hospitality, or a similar multi-location environment.
  • Hands-on experience installing, deploying, and troubleshooting technology in an operating business environment.
  • Administrative experience with a cloud-based restaurant POS system; Toast experience is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of property-level networking, including switches, access points, cabling standards, and ISP troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting business applications such as payroll/HCM, restaurant accounting, gift card, loyalty, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and coordinating support with outside service providers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly between our New Braunfels/Gruene and San Antonio locations.
  • Ability to provide after-hours support for critical issues and work occasional evenings or weekends during rollouts, major events, or other operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Restaurant365, Lightspeed, mobile device management, tip management, guest feedback platforms, VoIP, or music venue/event technology.
  • Project management experience supporting new openings, implementations, or system conversions.
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Why Join Momentous Concepts?

This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the technology behind some of Central Texas' restaurant, hospitality, and entertainment operations. You'll work closely with both operational and corporate teams, take ownership of restaurant-facing technology, and play an important role in improving how our teams and locations operate.

Benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off; dining privileges across Momentous Concepts locations; mileage reimbursement; and a company phone allowance.
