Job description

Colony West Golf Club, located in Tamarac, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Restaurant Supervisor! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you'll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
Restaurant Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily restaurant, bar, and food and beverage operations while maintaining The View Restaurant's service standards.
  • Lead, support, and motivate front-of-house employees, including servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, and server assistants.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, reservations, events, service expectations, and operational updates.
  • Assign opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities and verify that all duties are completed properly.
  • Monitor the dining room, bar, patio, and service areas to ensure efficient operations and a clean, professional appearance.
  • Provide hands-on floor support during busy service periods, including greeting guests, assisting with seating, running food, clearing tables, and resolving service delays.
  • Ensure employees follow the established sequence of service, uniform, grooming, attendance, and workplace conduct standards.
  • Deliver professional and attentive guest service while promptly addressing concerns and resolving complaints.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team to maintain accurate ticket times, food quality, presentation, and communication regarding allergies or special requests.
  • Monitor reservations, table assignments, dining room flow, and staffing levels to support efficient service.
  • Train and coach employees on menu knowledge, beverage service, point-of-sale procedures, cash handling, sanitation, and guest service standards.
  • Document employee attendance, performance, policy violations, guest concerns, and operational incidents accurately and professionally.
  • Verify guest checks, discounts, voids, gratuities, service charges, cash deposits, and credit card documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, employee availability, and adjustments based on business needs and performance.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, workplace safety, and company policies.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, shift reports, securing the facility, and communicating relevant information to management.
  • Monitor inventory levels for restaurant and bar supplies and notify management of shortages, equipment issues, or maintenance needs.
  • Support banquets, golf outings, special events, and private functions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with restaurant management, culinary leadership, banquet staff, golf operations, and other departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational and business needs.

Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant and bar operations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and guest service skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, scheduling, and shift reporting.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, golf events, and private functions.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift or carry items required during restaurant service.
