Job description

The Student Prince i s looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Server to join our team. The right person should be passionate about hospitality and great food done right. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with a close-knit team and delivering a truly unforgettable guest experience.

The Student Prince, a part of the Bean Restaurant Group family of restaurants, has offered quality German draught beers and delicious German-inspired cuisine in a beautiful old-world atmosphere since 1935 in downtown Springfield. We look forward to hearing from you!Servers are responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.

Present menu to guests and answer questions about menu items, beverages, and other restaurant functions and services as needed. Inform guests of any menu changes and daily specials, and make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.

Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers. Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen. Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.

Prepares customers checks and collects payments. Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments. Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
