What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a restaurant job?

To thrive in a restaurant job, you generally need strong customer service skills, basic food safety knowledge, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems and, in some cases, food handler certifications are typically required. Outstanding communication, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are crucial soft skills in this environment.
