This is a temporary position.
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst, Deployment Support Resource - FABS will play a critical role in providing support to enable the successful deployment of the Project Lightyear initiative. Project Lightyear is a multi-year effort to replace Marriott's financial application ecosystem with a state-of-the-art Oracle Cloud Fusion financial system.
The Senior Analyst, Deployment Support Resource - FABS will act as a key contributor throughout the build, testing, and deployment phases of Project Lightyear. This role will be responsible for tasks including providing both functional and technical support relating to global hotel reports and processes, monitoring and triaging group mailboxes, as well as gathering and analyzing data to support specific objectives. The candidate will support system/process documentation, data organization, process improvement and transition of multiple financial systems.
Expected Contributions
  • Monitor PG&A group mailboxes to address requests and questions, escalating as needed, and ensuring timely triage and resolution.

  • Review, test, and assist with the production migration of reports in PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and other related financial systems.

  • Review and test updates to global hotel business plan related files owned by PG&A.

  • Support the review and updating of reporting hierarchies owned by PG&A.

  • Assist with performing and optimizing hotel chart of accounts audits.

  • Work collaboratively and directly with PG&A, the other areas of FABS, and business associates to understand and translate business needs and to develop appropriate action plans.

  • Document issues, workarounds, and updates to PG&A job aids for supported processes.

  • Participate as needed in support calls, readiness reviews, and cutover planning sessions.

  • Identify and/or implement identified process improvements.

  • Extract data from multiple data sources then use appropriate tools to transform clean, and restructure the data as needed.

  • Leverage Power BI to effectively visualize data to support communicated objectives.

  • Analyze data to identify patterns and anomalies

  • Report to two supervisors that will coordinate the work needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (4-year) from an accredited university preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, technology support, operations, business systems, or a related discipline preferred, demonstrating progressive growth and a track record of exceptional performance.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and communicate issue details clearly in real time.

  • Proven customer support leadership experience with a global scope and mindset.

  • Experience participating in large-scale deployments, rollouts, or cutover events.

  • Knowledge of Marriott's financial business processes and hotel finance operations.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to persuade and motivate stakeholders and team members to achieve project goals and objectives.

  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Experience with PeopleSoft GL/EPM or Hyperion tools preferred.

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly and concisely.

  • Collaborative mindset: considers key stakeholders, builds relationships to leverage information and insights, communicates effectively, and shares information openly.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships with a broad group of stakeholders.

LOCATION
  • This position will be based at MI Corporate Headquarters. The preference is for hybrid candidates however open to remote candidates.
