Overview:
Role: ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Specialist
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 6 months
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Specialist to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Service Nows Vulnerability Response module and a strong understanding of vulnerability management processes.
This role is critical in helping us implement VR module to automate VM Process namely identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure and maintain the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module.
Integrate vulnerability data from external scanners (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7) into ServiceNow.
Automate workflows for vulnerability triage, assignment, and remediation tracking.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor vulnerability trends and remediation progress.
Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements.
Participate in vulnerability assessments and risk analysis activities.
Provide training and support to stakeholders on using ServiceNow Vulnerability Response features.
Required Qualifications
Proven 3-year experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Response module.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and integration methods.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management lifecycle.
Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and workflow automation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred
Qualifications
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Vulnerability Response.
Experience with other ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, SecOps).
Knowledge of CVSS scoring, threat intelligence, and risk prioritization.
Background in IT operations or cybersecurity engineering.
