Job description

StevenDouglas is recruiting for a Human Resources Manager for one of our growing clients. This individual will serve as the organization’s sole HR professional and will be responsible for the full scope of Human Resources, partnering closely with leadership while also managing the day-to-day HR needs of the business.


The ideal candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable operating independently, building and improving HR processes, and managing multiple priorities across the employee lifecycle. Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for the organization and a strategic partner to leadership on HR-related matters
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding
  • Oversee employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, performance issues, and workplace investigations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Manage benefits administration, compensation programs, and other employee-related programs
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on people management, employee development, and performance matters
  • Support organizational development, employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives
  • Maintain employee records, HR systems, reporting, and HR-related documentation
  • Evaluate current HR practices and implement processes, programs, and policies that support the continued growth of the organization


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Broad HR generalist experience with the ability to independently manage multiple areas of the HR function
  • Strong recruiting and talent acquisition experience
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and advising managers and employees
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and take ownership of the HR function
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion, and sound judgment
