Human Resources Manager About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of Human Resources for our Halsey, Oregon facility. The successful candidate will partner with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture, ensure compliance with employment laws, and support organizational goals through strategic HR initiatives. Experience in a unionized manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead employee relations, performance management, coaching, and investigations.
  • Partner with managers on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top talent.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, leave, and HR policies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Maintain HRIS records and prepare HR metrics and reports.
  • Support training, employee engagement, and performance review programs.
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements when applicable.
  • Partner with union representatives and leadership to promote positive labor relations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work onsite at the Halsey, Oregon facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a unionized workforce.
  • Labor relations experience, including grievance handling and contract interpretation.
  • Collective bargaining and labor contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
